CART (Child Abduction Response Team) Training

This is a TUITION-FREE training program sponsored by Keep Georgia Safe in partnership with the U. S. Department of Justice Initiative, Fox Valley Technical College, AMBER Alert and Technical Assistance Program.


Program Focus


This three and a half-day (28 hours) training covers the Child Abduction Response Team training program. CART is a multi-disciplinary approach to a missing or abducted child incident. Team composition is critical to a CART's implementation and long-term success. The CART training is designed to provide law enforcement officers with the skills needed to investigate missing and abducted children cases.


Training Topics



Who Should Attend


All law enforcement officers and other stakeholders that are charged with the responsibility of investigating missing and/or abducted children should attend this training. CART teams may be comprised of representatives from various law enforcement agencies, probation and parole, social service agencies, corrections, and emergency management personnel.


Cost


TUITION-FREE: Lodging will be provided at the Atlanta Marriott at Gwinnett Place. Meals will also be provided. Lodging is based on double occupancy. The Marriott will not accept individual reservations for this event. Participants must be on the Keep Georgia Safe CART roster in order to receive free lodging.
